SKYLA SPENCER Still Makes CMA Music Festival All About the Fans!

Nashville, TN (June 16, 2008) – SKYLA SPENCER had herself a fabulous time during last week’s CMA Music Festival! On Friday, Skyla treated fans to a late evening show on the terrace of Bailey's Pub and Grille. During the two-hour Fan Appreciation Show, her set list included everything from classics such as Patsy Cline’s “Walkin’ After Midnight” and Tina Turner’s “Proud Mary” to “Heads Carolina, Tails California” (Jo Dee Messina), “Suds in the Bucket” (Sara Evans), to other well-known favorites: “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll, “Drift Away,” “Danny’s Song.” For “These Boots Are Made For Walkin’,” she donned her red boa and danced around the stage. Skyla also sang several self-penned songs that are included on her debut album: “Why Do You Do This To Me,” “Oh What a Day,” “Chuga Choo Choo.” As she introduced her song, “You Said You’d Call Me,” (also the title track of her debut album), Skyla invited three men from the audience to share the stage with her.. “It is always a blast involving the crowd.” She closed the show with her upcoming summer single, “This Girl,” during which she invited female audience members to rush the stage.

In addition to hosting her Fan Appreciation Show, Skyla spent much time in the truTV™ Fan Fair® Hall, signing autographs, posing for pictures, and meeting fans at the Assets, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Select Comfort, Silpada Designs, Tetley Iced Tea, truTV. Sharing face time with fans is one of her favorite things about participating in the CMA Music Festival each year. She says, “It is always wonderful to talk with fans and to find out where they traveled from and hear their stories.” Skyla’s personal favorite memory happened in the convention center while she was signing in the Mary Kay booth on Sunday. Andy Sayers, one of the disc jockeys from the London , England-based Hot n Gold radio station sought out Skyla at the booth, “got down on his knees and apologized for missing my concert. He literally bowed to me.” Another memorable moment took place in the Hollywood Hats booth! Skyla – a fan of hats herself! – hosted an impromptu photo shoot with the media, modeling several of the brand’s cowboy hats! All in all, Skyla had an extremely productive and fun-filled week, and she couldn’t be happier for the great turnout at this year’s event!

Special Thanks to Sherlyn Fox and Heather Andrews for helping to make an otherwise hectic week run smoothly for Skyla. Sherlyn, owner of Studio Fox Nashville was Skyla’s hair stylist and makeup artist for the entire week. Heather is a songwriter who wrote the new single, “This Girl,” with and for Skyla.
